Kui oled oma elu keskpunktiks valinud Viljandi, kuid ei ole end veel ametlikult linna elanikuks registreerinud, palume seda teha hiljemalt 31. detsembriks. Alates 1. jaanuarist 2026 laekub registreeritud elanike tulumaks Viljandi linna eelarvesse, mis aitab kaasa kvaliteetse elukeskkonna loomisele ja linna arengule. Täpne ülevaade elanike arvust ja vanuselisest jaotusest võimaldab linnal paremini planeerida hariduse, sotsiaalhoolekande, taristu ja teiste oluliste teenuste korraldust. Samuti mõjutavad korrektsed elukohaandmed mitmete toetuste taotlemist.
Kuidas end Viljandi linna elanikuks registreerida?
• www.rahvastikuregister.ee portaalis – logi sisse ID-kaardi või Mobiil-ID-ga ning esita elukohateate avaldus;
• e-postiga – digitaalselt allkirjastatud elukohateate avaldus saada ;
• Avalduse leiab Viljandi linna kodulehelt Avalduse vormid – Viljandi linnavalitsus rahvastikuregistri toimingud -> elukohateade;
• Viljandi Linnavalitsuses – täida elukohateate avaldus raekojas kohapeal;
Elukoha registreerimiseks tuleb esitada üürileping või omaniku nõusolek, v.a juhul kui isik on ise elukoha omanik. Alaealiste laste elukoha registreerimise on vajalik teise hooldusõigusliku vanema nõusolek. Iga inimese enda huvides on, et tema elukohaandmed rahvastikuregistris oleksid korrektsed ning vastaksid tegelikule elukohale.

Як зареєструватися жителем міста Вільянді?

Важливо, щоб дані про місце проживання в реєстрі населення були коректними та відповідали фактичній адресі.

If you have chosen Viljandi as the centre of your life but have not yet officially registered yourself as a resident of the city, we kindly ask you to do so no later than 31 December. As of 1 January 2026, the personal income tax of registered residents will be allocated to the budget of the City of Viljandi, helping to create a high-quality living environment and support the city’s development. An accurate overview of the number of residents and their age distribution enables the city to better plan education, social welfare, infrastructure, and the organisation of other essential services. Correct residence data also affects eligibility when applying for various benefits.
How to register as a resident of the City of Viljandi?
• Via the portal www.rahvastikuregister.ee – log in using an ID card or Mobile-ID and submit a notice of residence;
• By e-mail – send a digitally signed notice of residence application to ;
• The application form is available on the City of Viljandi website under Application Forms – City Government of Viljandi – Population Register Services → Notice of Residence;
• At the Viljandi City Government – complete the notice of residence application in person at the Town Hall.
To register your residence, you must submit a rental agreement or the owner’s consent, except in cases where the person is the owner of the dwelling. When registering the residence of a minor child, the consent of the other parent with custodial rights is required. It is in everyone’s own interest that their residence data in the population register is accurate and corresponds to their actual place of residence.
